Thursday, Apr 22nd Organic Baby Food 101Say goodbye to the jar! The transition to solid foods is a very important step in your child's development, and, as a parent, you can lay the foundation for a lifetime of good health by feeding them a well-balanced and nutritious diet. Home-made baby food is fresher, more nutritious, better tasting, cheaper and less wasteful than the jarred stuff - and we all know that you want the best for your new baby. In this class, we'll learn first-hand how to introduce your child to new foods, tastes and textures as we head into the kitchen to make organic fruit and vegetable purees and protein-combos. Mixing Moms go home with recipes, samples, and time-saving tips to aid in making delicious everyday meals your baby will enjoy. All are welcome - moms, dads, nannies, caregivers, grandparents... anyone who wants to help raise a healthy and happy baby!

A few notes about the class: - The introduction of solid foods is a personal decision that should be made by parents with guidance from your pediatrician. That being said, this class is geared towards caregivers of babies ages 4 to 12+ months. -You will get the most out of the hands-on nature of the class if you are able to attend without your baby. That being said, we know that scheduling can be tough so babies in carriers are allowed. No strollers in the kitchen please. » Back To Classes |
